Outlook Settings

The new version of Outlook is using MS servers as a middleman to connect to SmarterMail. I'm seeing some clients have the basic email setup fail because the connection is failing from MS to the person's device. This fail looks like it is failing at the SmarterMail connection, but the logs show the MS IP address connects successfully. MS did this for Outlook mobile about 5 years ago and it appears that this is the new standard for Outlook Desktop. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Yeah, it’s been a topic of discussion in our community for years since the release of the New Outlook. At one point, the new Outlook claimed to be sharing personal information with 700 partners.  The New Outlook violates GDPR, and no corporation should use it. If you care about your personal privacy, I would strongly advise against using it.
