Chat Client for Linux w/ Message Archive

Hello!
I am making the switch to Linux for my desktop machine. I haven't found an email client I like as much as eM Client but Evolution is doing the trick, I guess.

I am still without a decent Chat (Jabber/XMPP) Client though. I really want one that supports MAM (XEP-0313) so I can see message all message history without having to login to the webmail. So far, it seems that most XMPP clients simply don't care about this feature. eM Client has it and, though it is slower than I would like, it works.

Does anyone here have a recommendation?

Two additional issues I'm running into with most clients are:
  1. The clients expects my server address to be whatever comes after the username in the logon. So, user@domain.com, the clients want the server address to be domain.com. Many clients don't allow you to set a different server address. For those that do allow setting a specific server address, I run into the next issue. Dino is a good example of a client that doesn't allow me to set a specific address.
  2. The client expects the certificate for the connection to match the domain contained in the logon, so as with the previous example, they expect the certificate to be for domain.com, not for the server address actually specified in the connection. Gajim is a good example of a client that works like this and it doesn't allow me to accept the certificate and connect anyway.
