SM 9511 Windows: unable to edit/share resources (folder, calendars, etc...)
Problem reported by Gabriele Maoret - SERSIS - 1/21/2026 at 3:48 AM
Resolved
With the new version 9511, we're experiencing these two problems:

1 - From the web interface (either as an ADMINISTRATOR or as a USER), you can no longer share a new resource (folder, calendar, address book, etc.).
2 - If a resource is already shared, you can't change the sharing settings or delete it.

It seems the main problem is that you can't click the sharing settings in the web interface at all.

The problem occurs on Windows servers (I haven't tried Linux), and I've tried these browsers: Chrome, Edge, and Firefox.

It works here....

Hi Brian!

I have 4 SmarterMail on Windows Server (3x2019 and 1x2022), and after a better look into it I see that this issue is only on the Windows 2022 server...

I dont know why...

Also working here on Win 2022. Must be something specific to that server.

After some research, I found the problem: for some strange reason, the "Folder Sharing" feature was disabled on all domains.

I enabled it in "Domain Defaults" and propagated it.

Now everything works again.
