Good morning/evening to all!

How can I import a local .pst file on my PC to SmarterMail 16 Professional Edition?

First, I did read the following help article, but although it does mention .pst files, it did not make sense to me:

Mailbox Migration - SmarterMail Help

I think the .pst files the above article refers to are those created by Exchange Servers. That's not my case.

I have several local ,pst files on my Windows 10 PC, created by Outlook 2016. I can upload these .pst files to my Windows Server 2012 on the internet, where I have SmarterMail 16 Professional Edition installed.

I was told it was possible to directly import these .pst fies to my SmarterMail mailboxes, but although I have searched high and low for the instructions on how to do that, I haven't found them.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to import these simple .pst local files directly to my version of SmarterMail? Even indirectly? And how? Thanks!
You can't do that with SmarterMail 16 Professional.

You need a more recent version of SmarterMail with MAPI/EWS support  activated (so you need a Enterprise license + MAPI/EWS license...)

Older version (and Professional...) doesn't support MAPI/EWS.

@Gabriele Maoret - SERSIS, thank you for your reply.

But....Isn't there an indirect way to do that with SM Pro?

Like.., couldn't I export the ,pst file to a format that SM Pro would accept or something like that?

You can connect to a SmarterMail account with Outlook via IMAP.
Then open the PST file in Outlook and then manually copy the content of the PST into the IMAP account

Hi Gabriele:

I can certainly try that... but wouldn't this just copy the contents of the .PST file to the local Outlook folder? I didn't know an import like that would UPLOAD its contest to the server,,,
Imap folders are synced to and from the server, so if you copy mails into an IMAP account, they are pushed to the server.
And you create a folder in an IMAP account, it will be created in the serve too...

BUT this works only for mails.

No calendars, no contacts, no notes and no activities...
