Do I need to disable standard ports to enable SSL/TLS?

I am configuring the mail server to support TLS and SSL.  Do I therefore need to disable the existing ports that do not use encryption after I configure the related ports for TLS/SSL?  ie.  I setup port 25 for SMTP using SSL/TLS with a certificate.  Do I need to remove the original SMTP port 25 or do they coexist?

Hi David. Please see a previous thread where I chimed in with the answer to your question... https://portal.smartertools.com/community/a92526/is-it-possible-to-use-imap-on-port-143-with-tls-and-also-without-on-the-same-ip.aspx
I hope this helps :)

Great thanks for the information.  I was wondering because my mxtoolbox lookup indicates that the server does not support TLS.  Do you have any advice on how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks again!

David

David, can you show me a copy of that lookup from MXToolbox?
